Hilchos Lashon Hara, Opening – positive commands (6)

Whoever sits with a group of bad people who regularly speak lashon hara breaks the positive commandment (Devarim 10:20), "You shall cleave to Him."

This commandment tells us to stay close to Torah scholars: to eat and drink with them and to do business with them, in order to learn from how they act. Whoever attaches himself to a group of bad people surely breaks this positive commandment.
