Hilchos Lashon Hara chapter 6, section 9
Accepting lashon hara is forbidden when the speaker says that someone just did something wrong. We were commanded not to decide in our hearts that this is true.
In the same way, accepting is forbidden with all the other kinds of lashon hara explained above. For example: shaming a person for what his parents did, or for what he did in the past even though he now behaves properly, or for lack of wisdom in Torah or in worldly matters (as explained in chapters 4 and 5), and so on. With anything that puts a person down, we were commanded not to accept the speaker's words in a way that makes that person look bad in our eyes.
The general rule: anything that is forbidden to say is also forbidden to accept.
